This is a wonderful item. A friend gave me 3 skeins of Silver Steel thread, enough to weave a wool fabric with an HDC repeat, slip stitches and a P/16 crochet hook. This is my first time using this yarn. I usually use a different brand. However, it was one that was a specific color in the amount I needed. There are a few knots in the yarn itself that I had to work around, but other brands I've used also have knots so everything was on par. As a result, it was nice and warm due to the weight I made, plus it was soft. This is a gift so I don't know if it will roll or how long it will last in terms of wear and tear. The yarn has obvious cuts/knots and has been knitted together. Yarn quality imperfection, some parts of the yarn sometimes look "notched" leaving a roughness in my stitch----the roughness looked like it was a problem or a pull you might get after a lot of use when the stitch was finished. If you are making a large piece, e.g. B. a blanket, there is no way to establish a Russian connection.
