Great yarn for a soft and voluminous scarf!

I was looking for a thicker yarn to knit a thick winter scarf for my boyfriend. That was excellent. It was easy to work with, very soft and holds up well. My boyfriend loves his scarf!

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • No color required

Feels cheap, not very soft and stiff

This yarn feels cheap after knitting. It's not that soft and very hard. I bought this to make a baby hat and scarf and am embarrassed to give it as a gift. Unfortunately, Christmas is still too early to try another yarn and start over.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Vulgarity

My husband makes great hats for next season.

While watching TV he creases, creases, creases 80 hats so far since the pandemic began. There will be enough hats for the coming winter for many. Thanks for keeping my husband home and off the streets!

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Negative is present

Not suitable for duvets

This is a pale yellow rather than an off-white. Also, this yarn does not knit well. The blanket I make is more like a rug because it's too thick and not very flexible or soft. If I had to do it again I definitely wouldn't use this yarn, but I already bought 12 skeins so I'm stuck. I won't be using it again unless I decide to start making rugs.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

Yarn Bernat Softee Chunky is just that!

Nothing says fall quite like Bernat Softee's chunky pumpkin yarn. It's become a warm, cozy cocoon cardigan that I can wear when I'm walking the dogs at night or for cozy movie nights on the couch. I practically live in this thing. Brown and turquoise also belong to Bernat Softee Chunky. By the way, the softness doubles after a wash and dryer cycle. No shrinkage and colors stay vibrant. Nothing but more softness. It is an excellent cardigan for dogs. I just have to buy more to make another one.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

Knitting and crocheting are fine

Not exactly soft, but it works. I give 3 stars because it didn't get very far. I used it with a soft Southern Premier Yarn. And I used this to add stripes. We make a feather stitch, a hook and a chain of 100 small overlapping blankets. I used this for a strip I wanted to do every 10 rows. Well I only got 4 rows of strips and there was almost no color left. 2 skins will not complete my project. So I just make 2 strips at the bottom and 2 at the end of my project. I can still get it to work. But…

Pros
  • Stable results in the test
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model
