This is not a very soft or silky smooth finish. This is the main thread. If you need a silky fabric and can afford it, I would go for it. I made a scarf out of it although it was a bit scratchy. I live on a budget. And in winter I don't care about thorns, I prefer it warm when I dig outside. This is the average thickness. He's definitely not fat. I bought this yarn after using other Bernat yarns. It's not a soft yarn, but it knits beautifully without the knots I've seen. Since I'm making a baby blanket, I'm grateful that it's a bit stiffer because it can resist its pull. Nice color.

The weight is shown as 4 but it's not constant, it fluctuates from 3 to 4. It's also very prickly. I hope it will soften and thicken after washing, but I have doubts. I only bought this yarn because I couldn't find that color in Loops & Threads Impeccable or Caron One Pound. United Kingdom! I won't waste my time on this thread anymore.

I've been trying to save leftover yarn from a previous project that I don't have a manufacturer or color code for online and it certainly can't be done. But it's close, a little darker than I wanted. Over the years as a professional knitter I've found that I can trust Bernat yarns: the twist doesn't vary too much, the shades are consistent and the prices are a bargain. I will have to buy more because I think this color is fading.
