I bought both the lead and driven clutch from bestauto and didn't realize that the driven clutch spring (red) was too strong for the Comet style driven clutch. The new belt does not squeak and shift as easily. It feels like driving an old pickup truck in grandma's clothes, especially when you take your foot off the accelerator. He also lost several miles per hour.

Worth the Money - Golf Cart Accessory

I ordered this because I have a very hilly piece of land and my golf cart found some hills difficult to climb, especially with two people or with a load. I read reviews that said top speed would suffer and low speed would increase. That's exactly what he did and now he's pulling great. There was a small problem with installation as the outer half of the coupler was jammed, but once removed it went together easily. Worth every penny, now it climbs hills with ease. Very happy.

The rubber/plastic tips melted on first use. Support only in the form of returns.

Installation isn't too bad but I'm a mechanic by trade and you need a puller to pull the old clutch off. They make a spring compression tool for installation, but you can do without it, it's just not as easy. The product itself works but the rubber/plastic tips melted almost immediately and now the cart is very grippy and bounces a lot. The grip is strong now and you lose the top string, but it pulls well, just slower. Suitable for work or pallet truck use, but not for games where speed is…
