Works as it should. I was able to successfully dismantle the ball joint of the steering arm. Mercedes '88. It was difficult but the tool did the job. Without this tool I'll have to use a gas torch, who knows when this joint was last replaced. Pretty good cast. Should work for a long time.

Finished surfaces are square and regular. I have four of these and a screw hole on one clamp was cleaned. You need to tighten the screws. They are not suitable for smaller tube or rod, say less than an inch square when using MIG welding. It is too difficult to insert the pistol into the connection because parts of the mount interfere with the way. It's probably fine for TIG, but I haven't tried it by a small margin.

I have tried 4 different types of these clamps, some metal some plastic. This clamp is very strong and accurate and I use it on wood and metal. It is made of durable cast iron. So if you're looking for a lightweight clamp, this isn't for you. It costs a little more than other clips, but it's worth getting the best one. I'm getting rid of my other similar clips and buying 3 more of the same.

The product was very heavy but I think they are correct and you get what you pay for. My cocking handle was broken, so it couldn't fall out on one side and there was a defect on the other side. You may get lucky with your order but I went back and ordered HFS. It should be done better. I gave 3 stars for the weight but everything else is a bit lacking.

Used on Mercedes S Class ball joints. I tried the silver ball joint cage you probably saw on the listing but the fork gap was too narrow and this arm too thick. This one has a wider gap and the outside/back of the lever is recessed so I was able to fit it in the gap. This is a very well built instrument. The quality is much better than the silver ones. Delivery was quick and the tool was well packaged.

Article arrived on time. They appear to be fairly well constructed with a single latch - all the screws holding the panels were very loose. Instead of checking one day and realizing they are missing, I decided to do a little preventive maintenance. I took them apart, put some Loctite on them and tightened them up. I used to ask if anyone knew the thickness of the printed side, but no one did. For $15 I decided it was worth a try. Well, for my application (Saab 9-3) it was too big - the press didn't fit between the axle cup and ball joint stud, and the fork didn't fit between the ball joint and lower link.
