The price is great and it goes perfectly with my 2001 Honda Accord!

Great price and worked great on my 2001 Honda Accord. I've researched online how to use this tool and one helpful suggestion was to place the jack under the extension where the breaker connects to it for support, so it doesn't bend when you apply force to it. I used 4ft long black iron pipe and 1" diameter as the tie rod on my breaker and it still took some force to loosen the pulley nut. About this one and I ordered it but was disappointed to find that this bushing will NOT fit the bushing…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

This will get the job done. But first you must do something.

I had to spend about 25 minutes on my belt sander to clean and shape the sides of this instrument, NO it's not a pulley, it's a tool I've tried, into three different harmonic balancers /pulleys and it didn't fit, I rotated its orientation and came to the same conclusion that it was misshapen. Oh sure, the tooling is solid enough, but it's a semi-rough sand cast, not milled for precision. So, with my belt sander and a few trips to the latest pulley, mark the raised spots with a marker and then…

Another special tool wow big surprise.

All repair points are correct. Without this or a similar tool, it is not possible to disassemble and properly tighten the crank. It's worth the cost if you can actually get the job done. I just replaced a 2012 Odyssey timing chain. the tool worked fine. I didn't give it 5 stars because it's just a $2 piece of steel. Another special tool that complicates the repair of another strange engine. Steel. No special tools are required. anything. Honda is a pretty good car and they did their best. Hey…

Is it the best tool?

I used this tool to replace the water pump and timing belt on my 2005 Acura RL. To my knowledge this is the only tool that holds the crankshaft to loosen the bolt on the harmonic balancer. This stud is a PAIN! This tool allowed the screw to be loosened, but did not make it any easier. For this tool you need to use 2 breakers. One to hold this tool in place (to wedge it into something) and one to apply torque. All the time try to keep the holder in place so it doesn't slip off by using all the…

Ideal! Almost - Fits 1995 Honda Accord

I recently purchased this to replace the crank/harmonic on my 1995 Honda Accord. This item is factory packed with grease to prevent corrosion. Once removed, the tool has a layer of black oxide to further slow corrosion and give it a black appearance. The tool had small nicks around the edges, but they didn't interfere with the tool's function. The tool is designed for use with 1/2 drives, but of course the actual tool that goes through the 50mm slot can be any drive. It fits my old pulley…

ID too small for thick walls Lisle 77080 19MM HARMONIC BALANCER BUSHING

I have a 2005 MDX. The crankshaft bolt has never been removed. I first tried a standard wall thickness impact head, but didn't move it with either a crowbar or IR air blast. I then bought this product. I don't have a lift or other set of hands to hold this tool so I had to make a jig to keep it from turning the handle. Tried using the standard impact socket again but it wouldn't budge. I borrowed a Lisle 77080 Extra Thick Impact Head from a friend but found it didn't fit the instrument. I ended
