Budget Closed article 250 ohms

High-impedance headphones of a budget assembly. Excellent sound quality, comfort and weight. Lacks the convenience of more expensive headphones, but easily exceeds them. DT 770 pro is a closed version, DT 990 pro is an open version. The lower resistance is for home use, the higher resistance for reference or audiophile work.

  • Seems to be everything for now

FICTION! with headphones

Excellent! Incredible sound! I've never heard headphones that can be as good as my hi-fi system, but these come close or even better in many ways. You have to give it some power though! It was awful on my phone obviously at 250 ohms, on my custom headphone amp capable of putting out 114mW into 300 ohms, it's crazy insanely good. However, the extra cable that comes with it is bad, creates glare and ruins the sound, I think due to too much resistance in the cable or too long. The case is good…

Crackling left earphone on subwoofer at high volume

Hmm. Unfortunately. Mine isn't perfect. Left earphone crackling? Crackling on some heavy bass. But the right side of the ear accommodates the subwoofer perfectly. With that said. It only happens when I turn up the volume. sooo I still give 4.65 stars. Because it's pretty nice. I don't like giving things back. Unless it's really useless. I don't hear that volume. So it's still a goalie. By price. It's worth it. Maybe if it was 120 or less. Then I would say you get more for what you pay for. This

Excellent quality headphones for mix and live performances

Sound quality is good, bass is good. I use this as the basis for my online shows where we play live guitar with an arranger and sing live. The sound is crystal clear, it doesn't get any better than that. I love the clamshell phone - I broke my previous headphones while carrying them in my bag to a friend's house. A mussel's shell is hard enough to hold it securely and to withstand rough handling. The stereo cable is long enough that I don't have to use an extension cord. I wish it had a…

Great on-ear headphones

I bought these to monitor my guitar tracks. Now I wear them almost everywhere. The sound is huge! I was torn between them and Sennheiser. I think I made the best choice. They are durable and sit well on the head. Good soundproofing. In fact, they're no worse than my $300 active noise-cancelling headphones. I really like the response of these headphones which are great for monitoring sound, watching movies and listening to music. I've used Sony, Bose and a couple of mid-range Sennheisers, but I…

Best in-ear headphones I've ever had

I've owned several pairs of studio headphones over the years. These are probably the most convenient. Very light, close to the head, plenty of room for the ears, very durable, replaceable parts and the sound quality is just what I need. I create instrumentals and beats in and around hip hop in subgenres like lofi, classical, rock, piano, guitar, saxophone and blah blah blah. I can wear them all day and my ears don't get tired. The cases don't get hot like vinyl or leather cases. They have very…

Pros
  • Finally bought them

Best Studio Monitoring Headphones Under $1,000

Simply Amazing. I had no idea what I was missing in my mixes until I finally decided to buy these headphones. Incent talks about the differences between the 80 ohm and these 250 ohm headphones, but I obsessively read reviews and watched videos from professional audio engineers and hobbyists like me until I finally made the decision to buy them. I'm so glad I did. a friend who does professional audio that I could hear the hairs in my beard on the vocal track with these cans. Extremely clear and…

32ohm Mobile Perfection

Not happy at first with the gray velor earpads, but I read in a review that the black "SoftTouch" earpads offer better noise isolation and are probably easier to keep clean with reflection . They are also probably newer builds. The 32ohm version works best for my needs as I can easily plug it directly into my phone (since I don't have a 3.5mm jack on my phone) or my laptop with the right dongle. .The sound is really good and you can easily distinguish good recordings from bad ones. I'm a fan of

Money well spent (casual perspective)

This is not a solid expert, but an ordinary guy. This is BEAST. Used with a Focusrite Solo 3 and will power the 80ohm version just fine, but I wouldn't use it with the 250ohm version. I mainly use them for gaming, watching TV and listening to music. The included case is unusable for these headphones due to the size, but it fits all my other cans perfectly. The cord is a bit long, but you can easily loop it around your desk/workspace to shorten the cord's length and not show excess cord. The…

Bought to listen to music (no comparison but love them)

I should probably start with this: I'm not a music lover so I really don't have anything to compare with the Beyerdynamic dt 770 80ohm headphones to go with it. In the meantime here are my thoughts. I specifically chose 80 ohm headphones so I can use them with my phone. They work great, I have to turn the volume up from medium to high on my phone but at full volume it's too loud. I know there have been mixed reviews about how well they work with phones, but they worked for me. AUDIO: They have…
