Why didn't I know that before?!

Okay, so forget the TV. This thing makes the signal coming from your coaxial cable to your devices very stable so it peaks or maximizes what you already have. In my case, my internet upload and download test is always activated. High side now all the time. My download live is exhausted. BUY THIS ITEM NOW, I don't even want to tell my friends about it, it's that good

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons

Sliver Quality Control

I cannot comment on the performance of this product as a faulty power cord rendered it unusable. The cable that connects the power supply to the device is a short coaxial cable. The connector on one end of this cable was not secured and just came loose. Very poor quality control. No doubt the device itself will work adequately, but a simple, stupid cable error renders it useless.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Works well. - Accessories and Consumables

Boosts both outgoing and outgoing signals by 3dB. So if your cable modem connects at the very edge (e.g. 35 downstream SNR and 57 dBmV transmit power) and logs a lot of correctable and uncorrectable errors, blocks an uplink, resets the connection type and if you are fed up Comcast technicians, You can try. I'm seeing 37+ dB downstream and blocking on 4 uplinks at 54 dBmV after replacing the passive splitter with this thing. Works like clockwork! And no "Have you connected the modem, sir?" is…

Perfect! Best in Splitter

I had bad cable TV reception and internet service and couldn't figure out why. I decided to check the main cable line where it starts and noticed that the line goes to one splitter and then from there to another splitter. I'm pretty sure it weakens the signal badly, I'm no cable expert but I think whoever installed it that way just wanted to get it over with as quickly as possible and didn't care about good signal quality. I replaced those splitters with this amplifier (see before and after…

This product definitely works!

I bought this product because I wanted to run cables in two other rooms besides the main room with the main cable source. I hooked up my cable lines first and only had 5-6 channels along with a weak signal message. I ran the automatic program several times and ended up with 1-2 channels more/less. The number of channels has never been the same as the cable in the main room. After installing this product and running the automatic program I now get ALL the channels in both dining rooms that I get

Removes sketchy channels, adds a few extra channels.

This worked exactly as I hoped. This cleared our weaker but normally stable channels, increased my weak and sketchy channels to usable, and added a group of channels we hadn't previously captured, increasing the usable channels from 6 to 19! I live in an area known for poor OTA reception. In the pre-digital TV era we sometimes could barely get a channel, but usually not, while all the NICs said we could get five. As a result, we had to pay for cable and pay a little more for those local…

Many years and still working

Many years ago I bought it before it was called Motorola. It still works and I bought another one for another house that had a broken amp from another brand. With those long years without problems, I felt most comfortable spending extra money to buy more. I also have a few active return boosters that have been around for years. That being said, this model isn't as hot as the active return amps they sell. I closed the empty slots with terminators like F 75 Ohm. ****One thing to note is that I…

Cable Modem Booster

For those of you who are having internet dropout issues while using cable internet service, this might be helpful. from a service pole or service node. This increases (boosts) the signal from your cable services (Internet and cable TV) to your devices (cable modem or cable TV boxes) and can improve the quality of service. incoming line. Longer coaxial lines can degrade the service signal until the signal reaches your device. When you use a cable modem, the signal must go both ways (to and from…
