They do their job well, but lowering the bike requires patience and precision. The rope lock only disengages at seemingly extreme angles, which are hard to come by when you've got them all on the rafters. Otherwise they do the job and hold a cruising bike with no problems and the rope is VERY long so you won't have a problem setting them too high.

I bought two sides, they seem to be well designed and well made products. Easily liftable bikes on the rafters. The hooks hold the bikes very well. The only two downsides: the included screws were soft and the slot popped out easily. I also didn't trust just four screws per bracket. I switched to deck screws. The instructions were fully descriptive with no suggestions for the distance between the two pulley mounts. Without two flaws I would have given 5 stars.

Installation was a little tricky. Difficult to find the right spot to mount it and it took some effort to get the spacing right. But that's not the elevator's fault. This is more due to the variety of options in each home/garage. The block itself is well made, easy to use and a big help in keeping the bike out of the way until needed. Great product, wide lifting wheels prevent the rope from breaking. I actually had to contact customer service because my rope was a bit worn. Instead of just sending me a replacement rope, they offered me a $10 Revain credit to buy my own rope. It was a little uncomfortable and the rope size I received was bigger than a bike lift. But I got it working and I really like that the spare rope I bought myself is 1/4 inch which makes it easier to get the bike up to the ceiling. Overall I know this is
