Finally a product for the needs I've had for a long time. I've always been looking for a tool to make sure my blades are straight on my old Rockwell Planer. several expedients without success. After receiving the jig, it took me an hour to reinstall all the blades for a perfect cut.

I don't normally write reviews but this set made it a lot easier to install new blades on an old machine. Since these were replacement blades, I had a reference height. As long as the fixtures didn't move around during setup I figured everything would be fine. They stayed in place well. The magnets were very strong and the scales matched perfectly.

makes tough work easy, fit three blades into my 12.5" Contractor thicknesser in about an hour and a half. calibrated fittings on cylinder, then adjust knife height on both fittings to old knife before removing old knives. put new ones in, magnets held them in place while I installed and tightened. very easy. lit cuts plain truth. I highly recommend these Big Horn 19612 planer blade attachments.

Seems to be a good knife setter. if they were narrower in design or had a smaller footprint they would be more applicable to more machines. It's possible I bought the wrong set for my planer, but the jig itself seems like a quality product. Just read the reviews on it Make sure it fits your machine. I had to make my own jigs to use this jig to install the planer knives.
