This milling collet is advertised as compatible with m12vc Hitachi Metabo P/N 323-421. I have tried all ways to get my 1/2- Getting inch bit not to wobble and have constant wear When I went to an authorized Hitachi dealer the collet that came on the router worked great, tightened and didn't wobble like the ones I bought here This big horn is somehow not made right as it doesn't tighten properly and doesn't allow the bit to be tight and straight.

I've only used this once with a rail and post cutter in my Hitachi M12VC router and my router table vibrated a lot even though I tightened it all the way. Reducing the router's speed to a minimum helped somewhat, but didn't completely remove the vibration. I held the router in my hand, turned it on and felt vibrations. Tried the same with my Hitachi collets and they hum normally again. Original Hitachi bits do not vibrate at all. IMHO this is a collet balance error or weak material causing…

I tried these 1/2" collet on my Craftsman 37595 router after reading a review on a UK site that said it was compatible with some Craftsmans models. I have found that although screwed in properly, it cannot securely tighten a half-inch cutter shank. Short bursts of force that only brought the cutter to partial speed created a vibration, which caused the drill bit to come loose from the chuck.
