Great board but version 1.2 had some minor issues.

My SKR mini e3 v1.2 board failed due to ESD. I replaced the board with a v2.0 board. Version 2.0 has some improvements over the version 1.2 board, but I had some hurdles to print with the same features and settings as my old board. I had to deal with modifying the BL Touch connectors as the board connector accepts a 5 pin JST connector, not a 2 pin JST connector and a 3 pin Dupont connector. I had to recompile with minor changes in the configuration.h file. These little issues were easily fixed

Great board but came with corrupted firmware.

First of all I want to say that this board is amazing. It was really just a breadboard, all connections were the same. The problem occurred when I tried to print something. It turned on, the screen said Marlin 2.0, I did a test run and set it up automatically, everything worked fine. Then I went to print something. It heats up perfectly and then crashes into a corner without stopping, causing the extruder belt to slip. I checked all the connections again and they were ok. I chose to re-upload…

Blocked on the first firmware. A common problem.

I used to have BTT SKR MINI E3 V2 boards (STM32F013RCT6 chips). It seemed to turn on correctly at first. I turned off and flashed an updated base build of Marlin 2.0.x from 5 Mar 21, just like my other boards. After a reboot, all I had was a blank LCD screen. Tried using the SD card that came with it, but to no avail. Research shows that this is a fairly common issue with SKR Mini E3 boards. It looks like an issue with the SD card reader on board. They tend to fail, sometimes while flashing…
