As a result of using this suspension cartridge, I found that it was poorly manufactured and of subpar quality. The installation process was difficult and time-consuming, and after only a few months of use, the suspension began to show signs of wear and tear. The only redeeming quality was the initial improvement in handling and ride comfort. Unfortunately, this was short-lived, and I would not recommend this product to anyone in need of reliable suspension upgrades.

I ordered a pair of these struts as part of a complete upgrade to the 1992 318ic (E30). These knots are a great alternative to the worn out worn out 26 year old Sachs struts I have in my car. These units, along with a chassis upgrade, brought back the legendary BMW handling that was missing from my car and, may I add, all modern BMWs. As another reviewer mentioned, these strut inserts are only for convertible models as they use a thicker strut body. They don't work on coupes or sedans.
