Great product if you don't try to uninstall it

Using these shock absorbers on a RAM 1500. They are amazing! Incredible upgrade over stock for little money. I like feeling the road, having stability and agility. These shocks are smooth, predictable, and make my truck feel more secure than stock shocks. My only complaint so far is exactly why I bought this shock. I had to do some work on the front of my truck and I had to remove the shock absorber. The threads on the end are not covered with protective paint, spray or anything else, and the…

Bilstein shocks a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500. Bon voyage!

As you all probably know, if you own a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 like me, these trucks are notorious for having the front end bounce at high speed if you hit a hole in the freeway. (Heavy front on these trucks) I've tried several different shocks on the front of my truck to list a few: (KYB Gas Adjust - better handling than Monroe & Gabriel but still bouncy, Moroe Reflex - smooth ride but jumps strong on the Autobahn Gabriel feels too soft and unstable) and so far I've found the Bilstein to be better

No customer service. NO

Let me start with this fact: there is no Bilstein after sales service. Other than that, and I'm quoting from Bilstein North America's website, the pictograph instructions are useless. At least on this particular shock absorber, the two rubber shock absorbers are completely different and it is completely impossible to distinguish which is the upper one and which is the lower one.
