Buyer Warning. Needed to be replaced

Needed to be replaced after 6 months Both made a terrible "clack" on rough roads. Found several forums talking about the same problem.

included washer

Make sure you put the included washer on the strut shaft first before anything else happens. You have been misled into thinking that this is a new top washer, not that you should use your old top washer. Or you'll have to do all the work all over again. I think Bilstien should be clearer on this. At least for my Nissan truck,

Pros
  • Great for a small house

Worth the price. best spare parts

They were original on my Frontier PRO 4X. Changed front and rear at 82000km. The ride in my truck outperformed every other vehicle I've compared it to, both on the freeway and on washboard roads. Best shock I have ever had and this is my fourth 4x4 truck not to mention 20 vehicles of all types.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons

Nissan Xterra 2005: spare parts

Installation requires a spring compressor, a very dangerous procedure. The springs are heavily stressed and can cause serious damage if they break. Have a professional install them if you don't know what you're doing. The shocks themselves are great, handle better and my truck feels like new. Shipping and delivery was quick and my order came in a box.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Some small things

Beware of speed bumps and potholes!

Item arrived on time and in semi-good condition (the box looked like it had been opened and resealed). Installed on a 2006 Nissan Xterra after the old ones failed at 115,000 miles. My car feels like new again - the ride is much smoother and speed bumps and potholes are less annoying. I've only had them for 2 months so I only rated them 4 stars - will update in about 6 months.

Pros
  • Decent workmanship
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Much better best shocks

I bought my 2013 Xterra with 42,000 miles so I don't know how good the factory shocks are when new. At 42,000 he jumped more than I wanted. At 70,000 miles the dampers turned out to be weak and needed to be replaced. So I bought front (including recommended brackets) and rear Bilstein shocks and fixed the problem. Are they better than buying factory shocks? I do not know. But my car absorbs bumps much better than at 42,000 miles.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Minor issues
