They work great on my 2008 Tundra

They work great on my 2008 Tundra. Not too stiff, really improves handling. Truck mileage 151,000 miles. It could have been cheaper but I wanted the best.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Can't remember

Why not the best? - Replacement parts

Bilstein shock absorbers are among the highest rated. The ones I just installed on my truck work like a champ. zero kickback. Can't wait to see them last 50,000 miles on the (muddy) road of a lifetime.

Pros
  • Big for me
Cons
  • Disappear

Excellent Shocks - Replacement Parts

I have a 2014 Tundra SR5 TRD Off Road 4x4 and these were the ones that came by truck. They were so good and lasted so long that I put them back on. very satisfied. I don't have it installed (doesn't work for me). Took her to a trusted mechanic.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Very Expensive

This was an identical OEM replacement for my 2008 Tundra. The old shocks started to wear out at 100km and that was a huge improvement. I added new ones (Monroe 907924 Strut-Mate Coil Spring Isolator) and they fit perfectly. Nothing else is needed. You will need a coil spring compressor and if you are unfamiliar with how it works you should probably stop here and ask a mechanic to install them, it only gets harder. There are very good step-by-step instructions on You Tube.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Expensive

It's hard to say how the new racks will affect my riding. So I settled on an OEM replacement (no height or handling adjustments) with a better name (Bilstein) to get a nice hand ride with a legendary control margin when needed. But it didn't work for me. A pillars were purchased for tundra 2011 sr5 cab 4wd. I was trying to fix a creaking up front that turned out to be NOT my original struts. I ended up replacing the excellent racks with these Bilsteins. But I wasn't worried as Bilstein has…

Pros
  • Doping πŸ”₯
Cons
  • So-so
