Bilstein Shock Stabilizer 24024518 for Toyota Light Trucks Review

Very easy to swap out and makes my rear end smooth as hell! To tighten, simply lower the dust cap, grab the main shaft with your bare hands and tighten!

Can be a bit more, says it suits my car. Gives you package dimensions but not part dimensions. This could help me avoid buying the wrong shock absorbers. Too short for a lifted truck.

I bought these for my 2002 Toyota 4runner rear wheel drive. I installed them with Moog rear coils. I like the handling, I think it's very balanced. I am planning to swap the front shock absorbers/struts for a set from Bilstein.

Big improvement in the handling of my 1991 Toyota 4Runner. Make sure you use 4WD on snow/ice though, otherwise you might roll your car like I did. I was only hit lightly, but the car was a total loss.

You can't go wrong with these shock absorbers, they'll last as long, if not longer, than the originals. I had a very hard time getting the old top nuts due to rust. If you encounter this problem, remove the bottom bolt (differential) and bend it back and forth vigorously, the rusted bolt will definitely break.

So I replaced the factory rear shocks with these Bilsteins. The bottom was fine for installation, but on my '99 Toyota 4runner SR5 4WD V6, when I used two different tools to attach the nut to the top, it wasn't a very fun job. There's no room to work in there anymore and now you have to use a 17mm flex wrench and a torque wrench on a 3/8" flex head ratchet to even get into that space to tighten that nut to back up.
