Big shock! best replacement parts

With the exception of a broken bolt (my fault) installation was easy. The ride is not as comfortable as I had hoped based on my previous experience with Bilstein. Still a big shock!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Upgradable

Perfect fit - shock absorber

Easy installation. I removed the rear wheels for easier removal. You just need a good jack. Nice set of metric wrenches and sockets. I had a Milwaukee hit and ratchet which makes it even easier. I swapped the entire ride for my almost nonexistent dampers.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Problems

Great ride quality now

My 2011 Sequoia 5.7L 4x4 has been pretty bad to drive since it was new. The front struts were replaced twice under warranty. Now that I've covered 120,000 miles I've decided to replace the rear shocks and the ride and handling have greatly improved. I would take them too if you had a new sequoia.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Little things

Great OEM replacement!

This is a great OEM replacement. Toyota uses Bilstein shocks in many if not all of its best factory off-road options. They fit easily in the back of my '08 SR5 2WD Road Queen. The factory shocks were worn out at 108,000 miles (no surprise), they should have been filled with gas, but they didn't crack or stretch at all when removed from the car. I found it easy to compress the old ones by hand. The ride isn't hard anyway. I would just say that it is well controlled. I've seen a few questions…

  • Price
Cons
  • Many things
