The quality of the WiFi signal has actually deteriorated after installation

Conclusion: do not bother with these antennas - original antennas on routers of well-known brands (Asus, Netgear, Tp-link . etc.) may work better than these. Details: My router is on the 2nd floor and my desktop is on the 1st floor. I bought these antennas to mount on my router to improve the wifi signal on my desktop. After installing these "claimed" 8DBi antennas, WiFi reception on my desktop actually got 4dB worse (RSSI changed from -49 to -53). The sweet spot is that they can work (the…

This antenna (8dBi) didn't work any better than the 5dBi I have

I ordered this antenna to improve the performance of the Wi-Fi adapter I have in my office. The signal strength with this antenna was the same or even lower than with the 5 dBi antenna supplied with the adapter. I definitely haven't seen any improvement. I'm thinking of returning it.

Now in; false claim.

These antennas look more massive and serious than the original antennas on my Asus RT-AC66U router, but they all show up and don't work. I didn't measure any signal strength gains with these supposed 8dBi antennas, only the nominal throughput difference (at least 0.11Mbps difference in download speeds compared to standard Asus antennas). These non-original antennas gave a slightly lower result in terms of upload speed, the difference is 0.02 Mbit/s. The only advantage of these antennas is that…

Smoke! Electronics

Got this for my GMG (Daniel Boone WiFi) smoker. I like this antenna better than standard. A while ago my smoker was working over 18 hours and also making a quick meal and I've never had any connection (or other) issues. I would recommend it as a cheaper but better alternative for your smoker.

It just didn't get any better!

This was my second purchase. The first order didn't work out. I used them for the wireless adapter. My goal was to increase profits. Unfortunately they didn't work. When I connected them to my adapter, the signal level deteriorated. i think i know why These antennas are adjustable in two axes. There should be an adjustment on the third axis and they will be able to focus the signal strength to the area where it is needed. Consider a flashlight with a reflector.
