We live in the mountains so our choice of radio stations is limited to say the least. Many come with static so I was hoping this device would solve the problem so we could enjoy local stations while cruising the mountain roads. But to my great dismay, that didn't change anything. Installation was foolproof but not much results. Looks like satellite radio for us.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. I went from 100% FM cutouts (just static) to being able to listen to the radio all the time during my transit. Those former dead spots are now loud and clear, and the worst part just fades out a bit (doesn't turn into hiss, just a bit of voice). The internal circuitry is very simple, but it gets the job done!

I couldn't even get my city radio, I replaced the head unit and added a new antenna but my iPod had better reception. The town's radio station was patchy, garbled, and just not very good. I recently bought a cheap radio on ebay with a weak tuner. I can get the local radio station, but nothing out of town. The previous radio could pick up all the regular stations I get on my other cars, so I knew this was the new radio. I bought this for that reason, but there is no noticeable difference with or without the amp connected, I mean none!
