Good binoculars but iPhone 11 phone attachment doesn't work

Bought these binoculars to take pictures while bird and whale watching. The app doesn't work with the iPhone 11 because the camera is on the side. I will be back as this was one of the main reasons I bought this pair.

Pros
  • Dream come true
Cons
  • Piggy bank price

Not compatible with iPhone

Binocular interface for iPhone does not work. You can't align the iPhone 11's camera, even if you could the screws that hold the camera in place wouldn't hold. It's a shaky mess. If your eyes are close together, they are not close enough. The price is good so maybe just leave them for camping unless they are heavy. I haven't tried the remote control because Iohone can't take a picture. I wonder how the engineers released this since all permissions are disabled on the iohone-binocular interface.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not bad

The tripod mount does not match the thread size

Got my binoculars yesterday. They are very strong and look great. When I tried to attach the tripod mount as described, it turned out that the threaded portion removed (pictured left) was larger than the threaded portion on the mount (pictured right). So you can't use a tripod. I spoke to a Revain employee who stopped me and then came back and said he couldn't help. I haven't tried other functions yet. Hope they get better.

  • Normal price
Cons
  • Annoyed

Get what you pay for

You get what it says on the tin and everything works as advertised but the quality is average at best. You get what you pay for and knowing what I know now I would ditch this particular set and spend a few bucks more for a higher quality product. Had to reattach the plastic eyepiece and the thread for the tripod was striped so it took some effort to get it on properly. Would recommend for basic bird watching and the like, if you're expecting to be really impressed this isn't it.

Great quality for this price!

These binoculars are not high-end, but they are of good weight and have decent optics. I work in an optical store and I knew what quality I was buying when I bought it. I am very happy with them! The tripod doesn't have retractable legs, but I knew that. It took a second to figure out the phone mount but it works great as you can see in my photos. I can't wait to take them with me on my next hike! There's no image stabilization other than a tripod and no night vision setting (and they're not…

Amazing binoculars with camera

Binoculars 12x50 I really like these binoculars that come with a tripod and camera kit. I took some photos to show how good the camera kit looks. I was a few feet from the bird. See how crystal clear the picture is. Do you also see the moon in the first photo? Three of us couldn't see it with the naked eye. I was pleasantly surprised as I generally only photographed the sky. On the way there were some clouds. I wish they weren't so heavy and clunky with the camera kit and it would be difficult…

  • Big and bulky

Excellent binoculars. Discreet accessory - garbage bag.

These are pretty good binoculars but only time will tell if they are really worth the price. The tripod and phone setup is pretty good for long range shots and even using the phone alone for group shots and very stable shots where my stupid hands would otherwise slip and take a bad picture of a stationary subject. Keep in mind that if you're using a phone attached to a monocle, the crosshair will round up depending on what you're focusing on. The included carrying case barely fits inside the…

Star Service should be a 6 🌟

When I first opened the box and sorted out all the bits from the inside, I immediately put my phone on the gizmo that held everything in place and did a few photos . Since I was only looking through my camera's eyepiece, I didn't notice that the other eyepiece showed what I thought was a hair or a lint. I noticed this when actually using the binoculars for their intended purpose. So I messaged the seller and got an immediate response that a replacement was on the way. The replacement came…
