🐦 Birds on a Wire Heat Sensitive Mug - Watch Colorful Birds Appear with Coffee or Tea - Presented in an Entertaining Gift Box Review

The description is misleading for what it doesn't have until you buy it and see the warning on the paper backing: NOT dishwasher safe, hand wash only, DO NOT soak. This only seems to be noticeable with responses to customer questions and negative reviews. I would give 4 stars if they reported it but I wouldn't buy it.

This was given to me by someone special but DO NOT WASH THIS IN THE DISHWASHER. I did it once and the birds melted. As it was a special gift, I bought another one in return. My husband put it in the dishwasher last night so I'm using the third one now. There really should be a warning label on the bottom.

I love the mug and love that the birds change their natural color when hot liquid is poured into the mug but the coating protecting the mug comes off. The mug is rinsed very well with very hot water then left upside down to dry and has never seen the inside of a dishwasher! I want more but hate ordering from the same manufacturer because of this issue.

It comes with a nice box and easy to read instructions so you don't have to look for it on the box. As you can see they have identified all the birds under the mug! So you have no reason to hate this coffee mug! It still has some film on it so as you can see there is a small brown stain under the handle of the coffee mug. The movie is difficult to watch. I had to donate! Pretty happy. And for me, that's a quality coffee mug.

The mug is very durable, I use it during the day and am interested in guessing the birds (identification on the bottom of the mug) when I drink cold drinks from it and the birds are in the shade. Above. The handle also doesn't get hot when I put it in the microwave, unlike some other mugs. Unfortunately, the mug is very fragile - it cannot be soaked, washed in the dishwasher, etc. I followed these instructions carefully, but the other day I warmed my hands on the mug and the pen ink. what I had on my hand was transferred to a cup. Constant. Neither soap nor rubbing with a sponge or towel removed them. Although I tried to be careful when cleaning, I damaged the coating. And the ink is still there.

I gave this to a friend for Christmas. Both he and I share our homes and live with both domestic and wild birds. We liked how the birds change color when heat is added. Just two notes. First, it cannot be washed in the dishwasher. I'm also not sure if it can be used in the microwave. He uses his Keurig with it.
