It is lighter than Charles Craft and very thin. I returned my order because the pattern I received was defective, but I don't think this is a common problem with this product, I just got lucky. It would be nice if you wanted to work thin and light weight, but I just didn't want that for a project I was working on at the time.

I bought this Aida canvas for a project that required 6 pieces of stationery. I already had 3 copies of Charles Craft Black Aida so I needed the second half. I can't tell the difference between them. Same black tone as CC, so don't worry it will match the others. A cute little cross stitch alphabet came with my purchase and made a good overall impression.
