I wouldn't cut anything thicker than 2.5 cm with it. The product should have looked better. Good value for money but you get what you pay for.

Suitable for easy handling, fairly easy to bend and worst of all the blades are much shorter than the original blade that came with the Black & Decker jigsaw. 2x4 doesn't fit.

I haven't started using them yet but I wanted to start an evaluation. I'm sure they will be as good as any Black and Decker products I've used over the years. I'll update this when I have more to say about them.

Blades work well. Be careful, I was late in checking my order as a gift and my product was missing blades. I think I should have opened everything before gift wrapping. In short, check if it's a complete set when it arrives.

The word cheap comes to mind. They were cheap, they worked really well on wood, but metal, as soon as you cut the metal even a few inches, it dulls. As said, any old cheap jigsaw blade will do for wood, but if you're cutting metal you want higher quality.

Overall the saw seems good but the U-blades (as in the saw blade set) don't stop. These are Black and Decker canvases. As a prototyping engineer, I feel that the saw blade attachment mechanism was not field tested and mass produced. They certainly weren't lying when they say it "accepts both U and T blades".

Saw blades will not stay straight in the Black+Decker 'Roller' saw blade guide. Slipping towards the roller guide during cutting. The one blade that comes with the Black+Decker jigsaw has a different end - the end that fits into the saw blade holder. This blade stays in the saw and does not jump out of the roller guide. The saw blade range fits my old jigsaw and works satisfactorily in it.

Many say if you are careful you can use these U types in a T type jigsaw. My professional opinion is: do the best job with the right equipment. These are U-type and should be used with an old U-type jigsaw. A new jigsaw with a "T" locking mechanism must use T-blades. T with TU with U. U blades used with a T jigsaw often come loose creating a dangerous situation. These U-type blades will not lock properly with the T-type locking mechanism.
