This product is amazing. This is the ONLY heater with an on delay timer. It blows heat at an insane rate, heating up my hallway and kitchen in less than 10 minutes. No other heater can compete with it. Ignore all the bad reviews here. People say that this heater is 10 years old. Doesn't matter? It works out. And that's great. It doesn't blow my plug like other reviewers. It may be a one-off. Like I said, don't think. Buy this.

The main reason I bought this unit is the remote control. That works great. I had to put a 2032 battery in the remote, but that's not a problem as I have several of these. The remote worked about 10 feet from where I placed the heater, so I can't confirm how far it can reach. The heater has an inner part that moves during vibration to direct heat. (It doesn't move like other impulse heaters) Black and Decker make good products so I think they will last a few years.

I love the ability to position the device vertically or horizontally. A short in the power cord burned the carpet and disabled the unit. Bought in May 2021, therefore 1 year guarantee. My living room is 18x18. I set the heater temp to 70 Fahrenheit since I only have 15 amps. I have read previous customer reviews which have been very helpful. Others who installed the heater higher with a lower amp melted the cable. So I quickly assumed that it wasn't a heating fault. So I put the heating on the economy level with the 70 degree setting. This heater is very good. Our main source of heat is fuel, which can get very expensive, so at night we lower the main heating temp to 62 degrees and turn on the electric heaters in the bedrooms to 70 degrees. After 7 years with our old electric heater, it finally broke and I found this heater.
