My round vacuum cleaner has lasted a very long time and a lot of it keeps it in good condition. I clean it often and flush this filter (I never checked the manual to see if it suggested it, but I do and it works). I finally replaced the filter after YEARS of keeping it clean and the cleaner continues to work great.

BUYER, BE CAREFUL! When looking for a Black and Decker VPF20 filter for my B&D HFEJ415JWMF22 cordless vacuum with 2-in-1 lithium extension cord, Revain recommends this one. NOT COMPATIBLE WITH VPF20 FILTER. I bought them, they don't fit and the shipping cost almost as much as the purchase price.

Love this handheld vacuum. I have a very fluffy cat who sheds a lot around the house. The fur gets into many tiny areas that are difficult to reach with a normal sized vacuum cleaner, so this is very convenient. Plus, it comes in really handy if you're having one of those days when you "spill" something like cereal, flour, or some other messy ingredient.

Having these quick-change filters on hand has made my chaotic life easier. I bake a lot and always spill flour when making pizza or bread, fine flour can quickly clog the filters. It's a great quick replacement and I'm back to the great suction that started it all. I can't speak for the weather or not, you can clean them because the fine powder clogs the filter pores so I haven't tried it.

THESE FILTERS BRING DUST INTO THE ENGINE! They are designed to protect the engine from dust; However, when I first emptied my B&D handheld vacuum after installing this filter and only lightly vacuuming, I suddenly noticed dust around the motor vents that I had never seen after years of using this vacuum. I've never been a fan of handheld vacuums as I've always found them to be underpowered and problematic - those sentiments have changed with the Black & Decker Pivot, which I was lucky enough to buy on one of the days of special Revains sales. But even if we paid full price I would still say it was a good deal. What's not so beneficial is keeping the pivot clean - we use ours a lot and when the filters get too dirty to clean, fitting new ones is the best way to go, especially with bag filters…

The price for 2 filters was reasonable so I bought a set. Unfortunately I didn't install them in my Black & Decker Pivot 20V vacuum until 2 months after receiving the filters. Imagine my surprise that although the filter fins fit into the pre-filter as expected once the entire assembly was attached to the vacuum cleaner, the filter fins continued to interfere with the pivoting motion of the vacuum cleaner itself, making the pivoting hinge very difficult.
