Works perfectly. Not many updates.

Good product. Not exactly what I thought. This is not a true sealed bearing, just a plastic dust cover. The quality seems good and it fits well and now I'm riding again so can't complain. The packages were open when I received them but intact and unused so I'm guessing someone else sent them back when they found out they didn't actually contain sealed stock. Because of the difference in price, I'd probably spend more on a true sealed bearing setup next time.

better than average

I used this to replace the bottom bracket on my 1983 Schwinn Predator. It worked perfectly, but there is a "soldered" mechanism and it's not. It's the same as the basic unsealed bottom bracket, but they added that plastic bushing that runs between the bearing race and the rest of the assembly. This works to a degree, but be aware that over time and friction the bushing will wear and begin to protrude from the assembly. You need to replace it at this point. I've been using it for six months now…

The bearings are more than adequate, I'm not sure about the seals.

These bearings appear to be of very good quality. I bought these to replace the bearings on the BMX Framed Impact as the bottom bracket on this bike broke. The "seals" are black plastic pieces that seem to wear out very quickly and when I checked them before fitting them, they spin much more freely without the plastic seals. Overall, for the price, these bearings are a great upgrade and/or replacement for your bike. I would recommend it to a friend.
