Darkens just a little bit which is not good because if it's too bright the camera exposure adjusts plus the quality itself is junk! it doesn't stick to the camera and the glass fell out the first day I tried it

Buying the Blackvue 900x-2ch was my biggest mistake. Huge waste of money and a big regret. The application is terrible, the hardware is buggy, the support is useless - they freeze when they can't figure out the problem. And this expensive CPL filter does not improve poor video quality. DO NOT BUY!

Oh my god, what has changed! Even in my wildest imagination I didn't expect that this little filter would make such a big difference in the quality of my Blackvue DR900S DVR video! The quality of the shot with the filter compared to without is like night and day! A must have for all Blackvue dash cam owners!

The filter (frame) I bought with the camera is very faded. I noticed this when I had my windshield replaced and the adhesive pad was no longer holding, causing the camera to dangle. Replacing the filter and adhesive pads on a broken windshield is inexpensive and very easy to do. The filter itself did not burn out in the sun, the bracket burned out. The sun bleached one didn't break, I just changed it to make the camera look new again. Cheap and easy to swap out, so why not!

I tried another filter offered at the dash cam store and found I get a lot of rainbows with it because my windshield is tinted. Without a filter, I had very poor sun and dashboard glare (F-250). I wasn't sure what to expect from this filter, but it's way better than other filters I've tried before. Essential if seeing license plates is important to you. Does it remove glare from the window? Yes, but it improves dynamic range by reducing flare. Typically, license plates are much lighter than anything else, making them look washed out and unreadable. They're still hard to read, but they're a lot better than before. We recommend using blackvue for the next-gen camera. Don't focus on the best resolution, focus on the best dynamic range. So it has to be, it's overpriced in terms of material…

You can literally buy polarized sunglasses at a gas station, 3D print a small holder (see verse) and make something that works better than this CPL filter. . I rotated it 360 degrees and couldn't reduce the sun's reflection on the dashboard. I have a replacement glass polarizer from an old DVR that costs the same as this cheap piece of plastic and works 200% better than this filter. I had to 3D print my own holder but it was worth it.
