Much better than crowns

Had to cut 40 holes in a car's steel frame, had to go through a dozen hole saws at a hardware store. The 3/4" Rotobrach cut through successfully with some lube. Eventually I broke one of my teeth, but even then I was still able to finish the project as the remaining teeth came through very well.

Pros
  • For rust prevention and spot weld removal
Cons
  • New competition emerged

waste of money. in hole saws and accessories

This was used to cut a 3/4 inch hole in a steel box. I used slow speed and oil bath to keep it cool. But after use, the mandrel gets stuck in the 3/4" cutter and won't come loose. This renders the remaining cutters useless. They do not sell additional mandrels. Very disappointed. I recommend buying individual cutters that come already on the mandrels of the required sizes are attached.

Pros
  • Packed in a plastic case
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something inside

Excellent tools when used correctly

After drilling many 3/4" holes in a 1/8" socket with Blair's Holcutter, I knew that I want Blair cutting tools are great for working with heavier materials as long as you use them properly. This on the shaft in front of the bit gives you something to turn to break up the post-cut friction. Also use some sort of cutting lubricant so your cuts are quick and pain free for your tool and metal. Oh, and be careful with the Fork ejection, they pretty hot and strong!

Pros
  • Heavy duty for sheet metal and materials up to 1/2" thick
Cons
  • Easily torn
