Gummy chunks mixed into my smoothie!

After 6 months of use I noticed small black matter floating around in my smoothie. I strained the liquid and rinsed it well and found that it was small pieces of rubber, probably from the inner seal. This is a bit scary, I don't know if this is a new problem or if it happens all the time. I use a lot of blackberries and blueberries in my smoothie so it took me a while and mashed potatoes to see the black bits. The seller referred me to the manufacturer because the return period had expired. At…

Powerful 2 liter blender

This blender is very powerful and I like the programmed settings. My problem is that the low speed is not low enough. I used to have a variable speed Vita Mix. His level is very low. I have a few recipes that work best when I can completely remove the lid and add the ingredients as I work because they mix better and don't stick or stick together at the edges. You can remove the center of the lid and the opening is larger than the Vita Mix, but not big enough to scoop up thick liquids or powders

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • A few downsides

One of the two top brands.

This blender is crazy - seriously. It mixes with almost everything. I was torn between Blendtec and Vitamix because they both have great features and work very well. In the end, I chose Blendtec for one reason - the blade is dull. In fact, that's an advantage for two reasons: you don't have to worry about the blades becoming dull and needing to be replaced, and you don't have to worry about cutting your finger while cleaning. We had some concerns about how a dull blade might blend, but I have…

Not a bad performer on the simplest of things

I'm not impressed. Even loaded according to directions (liquid, smooth and heavy) it doesn't mess things up as advertised, it just takes forever to make a simple smoothie, multiple stops and endless manipulations that a fancy canister aims to reduce. You have to add too much liquid to mix and it takes so long for the smoothies to be too "thin" and no longer frozen. I think if you don't use frozen fruit they might mix better, but when it comes to beating the target, for goodness sake, you can…

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • I'm nervous

Owned by Blendtec and Vitamix. I prefer Blendtec.

I have owned a 5200 Vitamix for eight years. It works well, but I've often refused to use it because I didn't want to carry it around (and it was too big and ugly to leave on the counter). When my son left I let him take it as he often used it for cocktails. A few months later I wanted a powerful blender again. I thought about Ninja but my son told me that friends who had one were disappointed. We both thought there was nothing quite like Vitamix. Until I discovered Blendtec! After a long…

Powerful, quiet device. Does everything the family needs.

My wife and I are vegan so we always use a blender. We've always had this particular blender for years, always updated to a newer model. [we won't name brands] but they've always been noisy and their odd shape made it difficult to get the contents out of the containers. Even her small container was difficult. We had Blendtec a few years ago but decided to go with a different brand because everyone was using it. Needless to say, we finally got sick of it when we saw it on Revain. It had good…

Blendtec Total Blender Classic - Opinion

I recently bought a BLENDTEC TOTAL BLENDER CLASSIC (TBC). I did a lot of research before buying a blender and was definitely torn between Vitamix and Blendtec. This is not a review of why Blendtec is better than Vitamix, just my opinion or research as to why I bought this blender. Price: One of my biggest selling points for Blendtec was the price. I bought TBC for $250* (*before tax). These included the engine, the wildside container, and the twister jar container. When I bought this blender…
