Blendtec Total Blender Classic WildSide Review

This blender is very powerful and I like the programmed settings. My problem is that the low speed is not low enough. I used to have a variable speed Vita Mix. His level is very low. I have a few recipes that work best when I can completely remove the lid and add the ingredients as I work because they mix better and don't stick or stick together at the edges. You can remove the center of the lid and the opening is larger than the Vita Mix, but not big enough to scoop up thick liquids or powders

Even loaded according to directions (liquid, smooth and heavy) it doesn't mess things up as advertised, it just takes forever to make a simple smoothie, multiple stops and endless manipulations that a fancy canister aims to reduce. You have to add too much liquid to mix and it takes so long for the smoothies to be too "thin" and no longer frozen.
