I wish they were thicker

The pair could not stand my daughter's chewing while unpacking, reading the instructions and not paying attention. I wish the material was thicker. They almost look like suede from the outside and my 1 1/2 year old daughter was very interested in them as my husband and I made stuff too. But unfortunately we have to be VERY careful when she plays with it to not bite off a piece.

Starter kit, weak magnets

Good starter kit. You won't get much but if it's for a little one it's amazing to build and swim. As they say, when a kid rides in a pickup truck and travels with it, it falls apart. Weak magnets. Update: After a year of use and playing in the bath, some of the magnets have rusted and a few pieces of styrofoam have ripped off the inner middle plastic where the magnets are. If you want them to last longer, limit contact with water.

Better than expected

At first I thought they were cheap and flimsy but I was wrong. They appear to be solid and well built (within reason being simple blocks with magnets). The kids had fun with them and they have a feeling they will last a while. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I think they could add a few more blocks for the money. I think 19 pieces would be enough for one child, but dividing them into two won't work. However, this is a great buy. If you're looking for something similar, you…

Wanted to love these

They were overpriced. For $1.50 per block. Foam invites you to bite. Which my 4 and 2 year olds did within hours of getting them. Also, the magnets weren't strong. Every time someone tried to bring projects there, maybe 5 contiguous blocks, they fell apart because the magnets couldn't hold in hand. Anything larger than 2-3 blocks can be easily disassembled. However, it doesn't seem like a big deal. Children often collect their little creations. To show that you move to play. Big Legos will…

Very cool toy, but beware.

This toy is super cool, expandable and can be used together and the fact that it can walk in water is great! The label says 18 months or older, but be warned: they break apart very easily if chewed. We keep everything together and supervise but some must have been left in my 2 year old's toy box and mixed up. He doesn't actually "chew" anymore because he's got all his teeth, but it must be fun chewing on those things because he went to town with that thing! He didn't swallow the pieces, he just

Great product, kids love it! only one

This is a really great product, I bought this for my 2 year old and he loves building little sculptures with it as does my 5 year old. It's just that the chest it's in isn't big enough. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for that. So apparently when they pack these things in a chest, they do it in such a way that they all fit perfectly. The only problem is good luck trying again. I understand they were probably trying to make it as small as possible to save on costs but overlooked the fact

No STEM toys for children over the age of four!

It really is a toddler/preschooler toy - and expensive. My first three photos show what you get in the 100 piece set. Only the 12 round and square pieces in the first photo have magnets on all four sides of the block, and they're the only ones that can be stacked into a tower. The blocks in the second photo have two magnets per block so they really only build small objects like a robot or an airplane etc. The blocks in the third photo only have one magnet per block so they are really limited to
