nonstick. The handle gets very hot.

I deeply regret buying this pan. It is not non-stick. The handle gets very hot. Complete garbage. Submit for recycling. Get T-Fal.

Pros
  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Sad unit

A complete waste of money.

This is the result of scrambled eggs 3 months after buying this pan. I just got past the "Return" window and now I'm stuck in it. Never buy this product. I am absolutely dissatisfied and would like to warn others. The photos I have attached speak for themselves.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Can't remember

Good only when new!

These pans are amazing when new but after a few months they get scratched and the non-stick coating starts to wear off. I find it funny that they say you can use metal utensils in them, I never do and they're all on top anyway. Personally I think there are so many good reviews for these pans because people write reviews after only using them once and don't wait months before leaving a review. They're good when new, but don't last long.

Unusual smell when heating

I really like this pan and I HOPE I won't hurt myself with it. Unlike every other frying pan I own, this frying pan gives off a weird chemical smell when heated. I hope there is red paint on the bottom of the pot. I have another Blue Diamond pan (stainless steel outside) that doesn't have this odor issue. I have used this pan several times and washed very well several times with soap (Dawn) and hot water, but the smell lingers when heated. The pan works very well. It doesn't stick, it even…

  • Great for outdoor activities

Completely unsure! fits cookware sets

Read all reviews. I wasn't worried about the handle getting hot. I just received my red diamond this week. I used it for the first time this morning. I read all the instructions first and washed it first. I was so excited to finally use it. My gas stove: hello 6 5 4 3 2 lo. She was at 3 the whole time. I cooked the bacon and flipped the bacon. My hand got very hot. I look away and the pan is black and SO HOT! I decided I wanted to test the grip as most people said it got hot. No, my hand is so…

  • Beautiful packaging

OK, about a month.

The first month wasn't bad. After that, it became as non-stick as my stainless steel pan. No matter how much. It's less non-stick than my iron skillet. (Not very well seasoned) Unlike stainless steel and iron, the addition of oil doesn't matter. Oddly enough, it looks like new. There is no visible degradation of the finish. It's still pretty easy to clean. Adhering food residues are removed in the sink with a little water and a brush. I'm not sure which invisible layer is gone now, but it…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • For pensioners

Nonstick coating is not durable

Bought this fall of 2019 and boy was happy with the nonstick coating. The first time my daughter cooked ground beef for a taco, the meat flew out of the pan when she tilted it to drain the fat into a colander. It took me a while to get used to how non-stick it was! Food leftovers from the dishwasher ended up in the pan. We never use the heat setting in the dishwasher so that the food in the pan never becomes "hard". We have to go back and wash it. We never used it in the oven, only our glass…

  • Great Price

Disappointing durability

We have used this pan at least once a day since it arrived in July of this year. Great non-stick surface for everything from eggs to steaks. Cleans like the wind. However, when trying to keep the outside clean = removing dark spots, the red layer begins to peel off, which is a little disappointing but not disastrous. Planned to buy it for a few people as a gift but after about 4 months of use there seem to be a few "hot spots" and the surface that just needed to be wiped with a paper towel…

Pros
  • An absolute legend

  • Not automatic
