Poor quality and difficult to use.

I have been using BlueOx tow pins for years. My last set is finally worn out after 7 years of use. The current set is difficult to use. You cannot preinstall the lock and slide it over the pin. The head of the pin has ridges that prevent the lock from sliding on the pin. I had to file the ridges in order for them to mate. Looking for replacement needles.

  • Nice thing

Tow & Winch Best Buy

Perfect for fitting an expensive towbar to your motorhome without fear of theft. The pins on the towed vehicle simply keep kids from playing around with the towed vehicle. They also protect against theft of your vehicle if you are towing a vehicle that requires you to leave the key in the ignition. My Jeep Wrangler TJ must have a key in the ignition to unlock the steering.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Good but not great

They are securely fastened and will not loosen to fall out.

I need them to mount the Blue-Ox baseplate. When towing our car behind our Class A diesel linkage, one of the studs came out or broke. The pin securing the hitch to the base plate became loose and fell out. The car did its job, slid back and forth, could have had a serious accident. I bought them to avoid such problems in the future. worth your money.

Pros
  • One year trial period

  • poorly thought out

5/8 " does NOT fit 2.5 " coupling!

Preordered this kit for our new F-250 with 2.5" receiver. Loved the fact that (1) the 5/8" set and (2) the 1/2" sets had the same life saving key. BUT was very disappointed to find out the 5/8" set might have been the 1/8" set. is too short for the lock to snap into my receiver! Had to order BX88212 (with 4" open shank length) but they were able to use the same key code as my other locks so they have a common universal key. The locks appear to be of high quality although the mud and dirt…

Not like the photo

These locks are of good quality. There was an extra pin for the receiver in the photo, but there was only one in the kit. They are difficult to fit as the lock will not stay open without the key inserted and turned. When attempting to balance the hitch, it is difficult at best to insert it into the tractor's socket and try to lock the pin. The lock should stay open and lock when you insert the pin into the lock. Trying to hold the key in the lock while the key turns to unlock it and trying to…

Well they work, though.

I ordered this set to replace my current set because when replacing the lock on one of the pins it turned out to be crooked and the key was stuck. I ordered a new set because I assumed the new set would have a different key. You are not. The key I used on my original set works on the new set. They work well and close securely, but they are finicky. You need two hands to block the pin. One hand holds the lock and the other the key. I hope you don't push the pin out to jam the lock. You put the…

Car/RV Coupler Locks

It was a pleasure to receive them so quickly. On the last ride I somehow lost one of the locks on the linkage even though the linkage was still on the clutch. Luckily the 1/2 inch rod lock could be used and I was able to return home. Ordered these to have extra on hand in case this happens in the future. I tow my car behind my van and travel a lot, so I didn't want to go into the wilderness and find the missing lock again. the locks on the bars inward, away from the chains attached to the…

They work as advertised

This product works as advertised. He attaches our trailer hitch to the camper and our car to the trailer hitch. All the keys supplied were identical so I have 6 keys so it's very handy to have one key on the tractor keychain and on the camper keychain and still have 4 spare keys. I see you're in a hurry. and without checking that the bolt and lock are securely fastened together, you might assume that you would end up losing the lock. However, it is not difficult to ensure that the lock is…
