Blue Ox BX8875 Tow Cover Review

Easy on and off, good quality. We've been using it for a few years now and it's holding up really well. It does a great job of keeping the blue ox clean so we can leave it on when not in use.

Extremely cheap. Thin vinyl with printed logo. There used to be thicker vinyl with an embroidered logo. The problem is that the price hasn't changed. Too bad for 35 €. Crazy price for a small piece of vinyl with your logo printed on it.

Sure I could wrap a blanket around my Blue Ox towbar, but it's really bloody distasteful and my ex-RVer sister told me in no uncertain terms not to do it. , Arizona's hurricanes couldn't blow away the myBlue Ox BX8875 Towbar Cover - Aventa II/Aventa LX/Aladdin/Alpha Cover and it looks great when it's doing its job. And they didn't yell at me.

A small price but the Blue OX Aventa LX clutch that protects it is worth it. Fits well and still protects the clutch well. The time will show. Periodically I clean and apply a 303 Aerospace protectant. When we're not on the road I take the hitch and cover off and keep them in the basement hoping it will last for many years.

The quality of the vinyl sleeve that Blue Ox is now selling has dropped significantly. My family have similar Blue Ox towbars bought many years ago but double the weight and thickness resulting in a very durable and high quality product. It's a shame that Blue Ox followed the example of most American companies and made their accessories cheaper for profit reasons.

I bought this to cover our Blue Ox Aventa LX clutch in March 2014 and in less than 2 years it's falling apart! For $35 I expect it to last a lot longer. Sew at the bottom about 1/2 way through. I'm very surprised because Blue Bull people make quality stuff, but they don't. If there was a fake that would fit and cost less than $$$ I would try it. I won't buy any other. Probably find a canvas manufacturer and make one.

And it's important that your Blue Ox is protected! They will rust over time and are very difficult to move if you don't take care of them. No, this product should NOT be left on the Blue Ox when driving your RV down the road (unless you're towing something, I mean). But if you park somewhere for a while, the weather can take its toll on your Blue Ox. We are often on the Texas coast and salt water, humidity and hot sun can cause problems over time.
