Well designed, best in lighting and electrical

Uses this fuse box and a Blue Sea 30A MAXI fuse for RV solar panels. The device itself is solidly constructed, allowing it to be securely fastened with countersunk screw points. The fuse, with much larger blades than the ATO type fuse, fits snugly in the gap in the conductive plates. When the wires are attached to the block, the fuse's blades are firmly clamped, which ensures good electrical conductivity. Tip: Remove oxide from the fuse blades with fine steel wool and apply NO-OX or a similar…

The best MAXI fuse holder I have ever found

Simple, efficient and practical design. The lid is removable for easy access. The wires can run through the bottom or along the sides. I used 6 AWG wire and it barely ran through the sides. Better down with 6 AWG or more. I used ring terminals on my wires to keep them from falling off when loosening screws to replace a fuse. A quarter turn on both screws is enough to easily remove the MAXI lock. I prefer this design because I don't know what quality wire I'll get with the other design that…

Used on Windstar after mechanical fan upgrade

I have replaced my mechanical fan with a Windstar dual fan. My fans were each drawing about 24 amps at full power. The Bosch relay and 30A ATC fuses overheated and blew. After some research I found out what Ford uses when factory installed. 40A fuse with reinforced relay. The aftermarket fuse box I used couldn't handle the instantaneous power draw at startup and two continuously running fans. I've used this (along with larger relays) and haven't had any heat issues. The large contact area of…
