My Windows 10 laptop's built-in 2.4G adapter is broken. I was planning on replacing the card with 5G but saw this and decided to give it a try for an easier setup. It was recognized by Windows and worked as soon as I plugged it in, but I installed from the CD that came with it and also downloaded an updated driver from the internet. It's significantly faster than the old card. I also received an email from the supplier stating if I needed assistance. So far I am a very satisfied customer.

So I have a Lenovo e545 laptop. Lenovo has a nasty habit of "whitelisting" its add-on cards, which means adding a special code to the PCI ID so the BIOS won't boot if it doesn't contain the Lenovo code. How can I find out?
