Too small. Too hot, suitable for protective gear

I think by big they mean big for kids too. I could wrestle one, but it was so tight my fingers started turning blue. And in the 10 seconds I wore it, I was amazed at how hot and sweaty my hand got from the neoprene material. Poor design and large sizes were average at best.

Not for teaching skateboarding or rollerblading.

They're comfortable to wear until you fall and need to use them, but any protection is best. The metal strip that runs "flat" across the palm gives the wrist little stability. Every impact is still painful. I suppose I would only use them when I'm sloppy and not expecting to crash, but then again, if I'm sloppy I probably won't wear them. If you're learning to skateboard or inline skate and expect to fall hard, these handguards are NOT for you.

Pros
  • Protective gear
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Mid-range product. If you want maximum protection, don't take this.

Not bad, but definitely better wrist protection. A wrist guard with three turns and Velcro protects much better. There is only one strap that runs from the middle to the bottom of the cape. It is very awkward and difficult to get through the loop. The elastane fabric around the top of the wrist does not appear to be a reliable protection against injury as it is very stretchy. In my opinion it will not hold your wrists securely to avoid strain or breakage. Although the metal bar on the bottom is

Better than nothing but not great

I bought them for snowboarding. They match my mittens well compared to others I've tried. They have a metal bar inside to keep your wrist from moving, but it doesn't work that well. Both of mine bend about 2 inches closer to the pre-made bend with normal use. I can bend her straight, but he'll do it again anyway. They cushion some of the effects of a fall, but do not stop wrist flexion. You need a second hand strap that holds up better than stretchy neoprene. Overall I like that they fit into…
