Not worth the money for Pet Supplies

This filter pad did little to improve the water quality in my aquarium. Despite following the instructions, it quickly became clogged and required frequent replacement. The only positive aspect is that it is easy to replace, but that doesn't outweigh the fact that it's a waste of money.

Pros
  • Efficiently removes small particles from water
Cons
  • Requires regular replacement to maintain effectiveness

Works best in filter accessories

Put them in my custom pond filter. I cut them in half and they have 3500 gallons per hour going through them. Needs changing every two weeks in a 1000 gallon pond with 8 goldfish and another filter like this. Also place this layer after the other two layers of coarser material.

Pros
  • Aquarium Pumps and Filters
Cons
  • Durable

Unbeatable for extending the life of my Aqueon backpack filter. You simply cut to the same size as the OEM filter and rinse in between, extending the life of the filters. (which are expensive) I can flush 3 times before having to cut a new piece and replace the filter. Maybe 4, depends. I love this stuff without which I would go broke buying OEM filters. (which I also buy from Revain, great price)

Pros
  • Fish and Aquatics
Cons
  • I don't remember
