Description of ๐Ÿฆพ Bora Centipede 6-Piece Risers Set: Enhance Your Work Stand's Height with CA0506 Accessory, Orange

Adds 6-inches to working height. Risers give you a 36-inch work height on your Bora Centipede work stand. Easy to install - 5 minutes. Ideal to raise workbench to comfortably read plans or a standing desk that is portable. Increased height does not decrease load capacity.

Plastic threads and nuts. COME MEN!

Have used these three times in the last two weeks to augment my already shaky centipede system. Installation is very time consuming as each nut has to be inserted into a small hole in the base and then pushed into that small slot with a finger to turn it. Each expander, two screw connections, not quick or easy to make. If you are not very careful the threads are VERY easy to pull off as they are plastic as are the nuts and logic dictates that this is not the best material for a durable toolโ€ฆ

Very difficult to attach and remove! Not a fan.

Much harder to install than expected. No way, it only takes five minutes. The bottom nuts are hard to reach and the top ones are in a pretty deep pit and there is no place to put your fingers in there to START the nuts before using the socket wrench. You can't just throw one of them in and tighten. This is taking longer than I thought. Also, the nuts come loose very easily, even if you're careful - I think the nuts only last on and off the risers a dozen times or more before they're too looseโ€ฆ

What a great addition to a 36 " CTC6 Centipede

I do a lot of guitar making work in a relatively small shop and also need somewhere to store an entire sheet of MDF or plywood These risers take the shape of the CTC6 37" level with the top being up to 43" off the bottom. At that level I can use it as a quick deploy bench that I can store anywhere I have Often used workmate benches in the past, but they're usually small to hold a 4x8" sheet of something. The stability of a 6 post centipede with those free ends is great. I think they'll probably

Update Needed: Power Tool Parts & Accessories

Great idea but a few flaws.1. The plastic nuts come off with very little effort. I had to cut the riser off the gray bar to hold the bar. The centipede would be useless without this support.2. I have a 4x4 foot centipede that needs 9 risers. Six risers means one or both worktops are undersupported depending on positioning. I was going to order 6 more until I had to destroy one to take it off.3. They are difficult to put on and take off. I'm a woman with small hands and I got frustrated tryingโ€ฆ
