BORA Portamate PM 3550 Super Mobile Review

This is definitely a premium mobile base compared to other comparable brands. My 21" Grizzly bandsaw fits almost perfectly in it and now rolls easily. I like the design. It's beautiful and durable; However, it has a few flaws that put me off. It's too big for my 8" Powermatic C60 jointer. I put 2 x 4's under the jointer to better distribute the weight on the supports. Easy set up, took less than 30 minutes. Great stable mobile stand. Four swivel wheels instead of two allow me to move around the shop effortlessly. I already had the PM-3500, 2500, 1000 before ordering so I know this is a quality mobile base. I recently bought a lathe and decided to put 4 fuser rollers on the bottom thinking that would be enough. UPDATE: I've been using my 480lb jointer on this mobile base for over a year now and have started noticing the flanges that the wheels attach to. track and do not allow the wheels to fully rotate under the weight. I'm not sure why, as nothing looks like it's bent out of shape. Anyway, I put four 1/2 inch washers between each wheel and its mounting plate and pryed the flanges off the wheel.
