I liked the perch except one side screw came out of the product. My bird clearly hated it because he chewed it to bits. I'm having a hard time getting her to tell me why she didn't like it? Maybe one day she will tell me lol

I am giving this one star because it is advertised as for birds but needs to be treated with cedarwood oil for a pleasant smell which is NOT bird safe. I bought it for my birds but obviously can't use it. It is otherwise well made, but the very soft wood is not suitable for animal chewing.

I like the fact that it's made of wood and has been sanded smooth with paint or other toxic substances. The smell goes away after a few weeks. I had to wait until he finally disappeared to put him in a birdcage. It's porous (which is to be expected since it's wood), so I use a bird-safe cleaner and sometimes a sanitizing solution (diluted bleach) on some poo or other sticky mess. The smooth surface makes cleaning easier.

We have 3 cockatiels that love to stand on them. They also love to chew on them so they last around 6 months. or something, but if it makes her happy, then I'm happy too. They are fairly easy to care for and durable. I love that it's just natural softwood with no finish so we don't have to worry about birds ingesting anything unhealthy.
