camping brakes! - Braking system

So far so good, I put them on before hiking and they worked really well! I knew I needed breaks before towing my camper. I fitted new rotors and brake pads and had no problems riding in the mountains or on the flat!

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Some little things

Complete scrap: brake system

If I could give no stars, I would. These pads and two new rotors were installed less than 60 days ago and they blew. Metal on metal and I only drive on the freeway. What a waste of money and now I need a different rotor and set of pads. Unbelievable. Complete garbage

Pros
  • endurance test results
Cons
  • questionable purchase for seniors

Pads came off the upholstery in less than six months

Approximately six months after less than 10,000 miles one of the pads came off the upholstery. It seems to have happened to several other people. Very poor build quality. This, of course, destroys the rotor and leads to the purchase of new pads and rotors.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • small parts

Great value for money

I had skinny front brakes on the F150, bought them to hold me up for a bit until I order a caliper, rotor and pad kit when I do a full front wheel repair , make sure you put the pads in correctly as others have said otherwise you'll have to find the brakes quickly. The brakes are quick to apply and offer a nice firm pedal.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • intervals

Excellent pads, about two months!

The brakes started to work well but after less than two months they started to squeak when braking at low speed. After a week or two they started rubbing. I took them off that day to find multiple cracks in 2 out of 4 pads and 1 pad was almost completely worn out. I installed the new rotors and calipers at the same time as the pads, so it was pretty obvious they were bad. qualitative. I will be using local O'Reilly pads from now on.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Works well, less dust

Approximately 2500 miles on new AC Delco rotors with these pads. They are really quiet compared to the not so old Power Stop pads that were installed a few months ago. These Bosch pads aren't very dusty either. The difference is noticeable. Brake work was needed ahead of time because the Ford dealer had "forgotten" to screw on the driver's side front brake caliper. Fabulous! If anything, these pads with new rotors have restored the confident pedal feel and stopping power I was used to when my…

Important information for F150 owners

Attention! Inner and outer pads for 09-14 (and possibly others) F150 are different. It's subtle to the eye but not invisible to the truck. The inner pads have "ears", the outer ones don't. The outer pads also have 2 bulges in the middle of the pad. I replaced my pads about 8,000 miles ago and unfortunately didn't research them in advance like I usually do. Big mistake. I installed the airbags on the passenger side incorrectly. Lining and rotor torn off after 8000 miles. I think that's also the…
