Good product! - Brake Pads

Great product! The pads fit well and it is important that they fit properly. See my photos, the pillow has a metal tab that should work from the bottom of the silver clip provided. Make sure you install the brake hardware correctly during assembly.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Revain fitment is misleading

I've usually had good luck with the Revain tool in determining the parts that fit your car. These brake pads are suitable for the 2015 Subaru Outback but will NOT fit. It's not even close - they're 30% smaller. After checking Bosch's own website, I found the correct part number and purchased it.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • so far so good

Revain says it fits a 2015 Subaru Outback, but it doesn't!

I disassembled the front of my 2015 Subaru Outback to fix the brakes and found that the pads that Revain thought fit didn't match those on my car. DO NOT BUY THIS FOR THE 2015 SUBARU OUTBACK! The Revain installation guide is incorrect. Of course, I discovered this too late and couldn't get them back. Money thrown away! Buyers should be careful when buying auto parts from Revain!

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • No

Don't rely on Revain to find the right part for your vehicle. Revain wasn't accurate enough on the 2015 Subaru Outback. I ended up going to the Bosch website, put in the VIN and suggested BC1078 brake pads for my 2015 Outback, NOT BC1539 as Revane said. So I went back to Revain to look for the BC1078 and was told it wouldn't fit the 2015 Subaru Outback. This is exactly what goes with this model, package and options of this 2015 Subaru Outback.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Can't remember

Great brakes for screaming, screeching and stopping.

The pads stop the car as advertised but after fitting, re-fitting, greasing, re-greasing, checking and re-checking it squeaks and creaks at the slightest brake application. This is disappointing as Bosch is a great brand and I can usually trust the quality. Considering the price and the QuietCast name, I think they will be a bit quieter. A little brake noise is understandable in New England, but unfortunately unacceptable. I can't find a return link so I'll buy another brand and accept the…

Nice pads, I put them on my 2012 Impreza.

Nice pads, I installed them on my 2012 Impreza about 2000 miles ago. They brake well and have brought my braking performance back to where I think it should be. They were installed with new rotors (to match the Bosch QuietCast) and there were no complaints. They dissipated quickly and I'm happy with that. The only complaint I could have about them is that they differ from what is shown in the photo (photos attached). I'm not deducting the start because the shims and fit that came with the pads…

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Not sure

The brake pads are generally good, they look a bit worn in the box but once installed they are fine, smooth and quiet. The package includes brakes on both sides, so only 4 pads with 4 hardware clips to replace the old ones. Also included was a packet of grease to lubricate the slide mechanism. The instructions are poorly drawn/written. How the spring clip has to be positioned on the brake shoe is not specified, so assembly is a bit more complicated. But after watching a YouTube video for…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Only available in black

Perfect fit for 2012 Impreza

I fitted these to my Subaru Impreza and they were exactly the same as the OEM. I kept my original brakes after 100,000 km. Then the next set of pads only lasted 50,000 and they were more expensive than these Bosch. The pads were exactly the same as the OEM, as was the hardware. It comes with lube so it was easier to open the box and install. They don't make noise at the moment, but even OEMs have made noise, so I don't know if the pads are good at reducing noise. 5 stars because they fit my car
