Received 7/20/17. Bought on the best day. Fake/counterfeit Bosch tool. Bosch is nowhere on the instrument. In fact, this is not laser printing any logos or lettering at all. Every other Bosch SDS Max tool I own has "Bosch" printed on it, "part number" and also the SDS Max logo. The shank of the tool received a different shape than in the picture. What I got was the same as two other reviewers who posted the photos as fake. I called Bosch customer service. Informs me that all Bosch bits are…

Well made, durable edge, no wear problems within a month of use

When you need to work with clay (especially in tight places), using an SDS-Max hammer makes your job easier. Sometimes you can dig near a house, under a house, even next to utility lines, and you can risk just brushing off with a pick/axe and the shovel won't really get in. It has become an indispensable tool. I've had no problems with clay sticking to the shovel and I haven't found any instances of the shovel causing damage. Great accessory for mud and clay. also deals with tree roots.

I purchased this tool for use with Bauer 11 Amp 1-9/16 In. Harbor Freight's SDS Max-Type Pro variable speed rock drill is digging in a slope in our yard for a retaining wall. This is perhaps the best accessory I've bought to use with a jackhammer. It does well in mud and clay and has a hard time working with mulch in wet/wet areas, but that's probably the case with all clay shovels.
