Length not as shown, much shorter, some only 1 full turn

I have ordered 2 of these. Both had the same product information on the packaging. One was shorter than the other. One had 2 full turns as in the photo, the other had 1 full turn (shorter than in the photo). The rest of the bits work fine.

Pros
  • No skate tip - exact start
Cons
  • Other Other

Sturdy drill on twist drills

I intend to drill holes in the new violin pegs so the diameter of the hole is wide enough to go through the thickest string (G) but before that I have checked this on a round surface. It's really smooth and very accurate in shape. I used to break a bit. I'm happy to move forward with real bonds. Hope that helps.

Pros
  • Long flutes for effective material removal
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Very low wear resistance

I bought this drill to drill a hole for a new SP101 scope. I decided it was better to take a quality racquet. I installed the bit in the drill press and applied very little pressure. Within 5 seconds the bat in the scope broke, then I took the 10 cent bat which did the job perfectly. I would not recommend this bit for any project. Definitely not what you would expect from a big brand.

Pros
  • Titanium coating to reduce friction
Cons
  • Only available in black
