Definitely a better buy than the SoundTouch 300 subwoofer. Best value

Robust. Hooked it up to my SoundTouch 300 so I didn't have to shell out $700 for a subwoofer that "should" come with it. This is a great addition to add some extra "cool". The reason it's not 5/5 is that it's pretty weak at its lowest end, but I'd still recommend it to anyone who has a SoundTouch 300 and doesn't want to be ripped off for $700. I still think the cost of this bass module 500 is high, but if you buy a Bose you know the name comes at a premium.

Bring BOOM! - Speakers

This bass module sucks! I bought a Bose 500 and the soundbar itself isn't worth the money unless you like exceptional voice clarity, which was a problem with my previous soundbar. But the addition of a soundbar completed the system. You need an application to connect. First you need to connect your soundbar and then click on the soundbar icon and go to settings to add a subwoofer. Purchasing this system is going to be a real pain in the ass, but damn it's worth it. I can't get the bass and…

Powerful deep bass and room-filling sound

I'm biased against Bose products. The bass module gives the Soundbar 500 a lot of depth. Add 2 speakers and you have a great mix of movie and music sound. Bose are expensive, but well made, tested and deliver the desired sound. Easy setup. I tried installing the module at the back of the room, but Bose said the module should be next to the soundbar - on the same wall, in the front. Speakers (sold separately as a pair) are placed at the back of the room for the best overall sound. Bose uses a…

But great subwoofer.

I originally wanted to buy an Acoustimass 300 subwoofer to pair with my Soundbar 300. I found that it was compatible with my Soundbar 300 and wasn't even $700. In my example, it had to be connected via an AUX cable. Wireless pairing worked for about a day then had disconnecting issues and I went to the Bose forums to investigate and this seems to be a constant albeit common issue. The subwoofer itself is tuned exactly as you would expect from Bose. It's not exactly overwhelming, but to the…

Nice rich bass to enhance a Bose TV soundbar

Bought this model to add some punch and drama to our very basic living room TV. We bought a basic Bose TV soundbar last Christmas, which is great for enhancing the sound coming straight off your TV, whether it's live or streaming. However, it lacked the nice, thundering bass sound you typically hear when watching movies or even TV shows. Unfortunately, just having a Bose soundbar means it's not compatible with any other standalone bass module other than Bose. It was the cheaper of the two…

Frustrated and frustrated, big time.

I bought these after purchasing a Bose soundbar, a smaller soundbar alternative to the 500/700. I'm very happy with the soundbar but thought the bass module might be a nice addition. So I checked and the Revain description says the 500 is compatible with the soundbar I already bought. But when 500 arrived I tried to connect according to the instructions and method 1 didn't work because the app doesn't include a soundbar or module! OK. So, I'm pretty frustrated, but I tried method 2. The…

A bit pricey but definitely an addition to an existing Bose soundbar

I've changed quite a few soundbars over the last 15-20 years but my latest combo of a Bose TV speaker with a 500 bass Module is definitely the best sound I've ever had. I bought a TV speaker separately a few months before the bass module, at the recommendation of my brother-in-law who had one. I used to have a budget LG soundbar with a wireless subwoofer, but the subwoofer kept turning on and off. Tried in various places to improve wireless transmission (as recommended in internet forums), but…
