I love this cheese roll!

Glad to have found one in the US. Make beautiful cheese roses with this cheese curler. I love having something from my homeland. Now if it were easier to find Tete de Moine cheese in more stores and at a cheaper price in the US, that would be ideal. Curlers and roses are definitely a topic of conversation when you have company :)

Unique and fun at the party

I gave it as a gift and it was such a hit that I ordered another pair for friends. Of course I then decided that I needed one too. So it goes without saying that this one has been approved by several people and is a custodian. I saw it from a waiter at a party and it was the neat 'flowers' he made, nicely arranged with veggies and crackers on an appetizer tray. It's easy to use and fun to invite friends to try out. I found the Petite La Basquaise cheesehead at Costco.

Unique gadget in the cheese scissors

After discovering the cheese curler in Europe, I absolutely had to have it, although it has very limited use. It's mainly used for tête de moine (which is expensive!) to shave into very thin curls and other round hard cheeses (doesn't work with soft cheeses). It can also be used to make chocolate curls. The item is not cheap but well constructed with solid hardwood and quality steel blade. I just wish the pommel on the blade handle was wood or metal and the dome was glass instead of plastic…

Cracked Dome on Original and Replacement

We saw this item at a friend's and it was fun to use and had a fun discussion. There were stress fractures on the delivered dome (photos attached). This product is marked as non-returnable by Amazon but after speaking to an Amazon representative I was sent a replacement which unfortunately also had a tear. The package was bubble wrapped and I didn't see any sign of damage to the box so I'm not sure what happened. The cheese cutter works great, clutch issues led to the two star rating. .

Pleases; However - Cheese Tools

I recently bought one and it's quite unique. Pleases; However, I was expecting the dome cover to be used while the torch is running. No, you must remove the cutter to install dcome on the board. Also, I have found that cheese pressed against the holder tends to break and splinter. It spoils the effect. I think an extra tool should be suggested to cut a small round wedge out of the center of your cheese before pressing it against the holder to avoid further tearing and splitting of the cheese…
