Easy to use for the home brewer.

Easy to use. I've corked dozens of bottles with it and had no problems. Some corks have a small indentation at the top, but that doesn't bother me at all, since they're caps with sleeves anyway. No leaks, that's what matters.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Large and bulky

The rubber grommet broke in the kitchen and dining area

Like most other claims, the rubber grommet didn't last very long. I cap 20 bottles before they break. What I did to fix it was take a bottle of Plasti-Dip and clean the rubber. Unfortunately, it only added more money to the cost, but it should last a lot longer.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Some small things

Easy to Use!: Home Brewing & Winemaking

Bottled my first batch of mead for the first time and this thing was pretty damn cool. Many YouTube bloggers recommend buying a ground anchor, but it's not that bad. Could use a little elbow lube but wasn't too difficult to load and pump. My only complaints would be that the rod that pumps the cork into the bottle is a bit deep in the neck of the bottle or I'm using the wrong corks but other how awesome is that!

Works quite well, but there is a defect.

For a manual capper, it was easy to use, and the operation is quite simple. There are four small red rubber grips that hold the neck of the bottle when the cork is inserted. These handles are torn and falling off. If they do this, the cork will no longer function properly. The manufacturer should be aware of this issue as they included an extra set of grips in the package. Mine barely lasted 25 bottles before failing.

Pros
  • understandable even for old people
Cons
  • not sure

Very difficult to use.

I bought this product to make bottling wine easier and to be honest it didn't even help. The second bottle has the rubber stuck to bits and already torn and it's just metal on glass. Also, it requires significantly more force than I expected and takes a few tries before it actually works, and when successful the cork will pop half an inch below the rim of the bottle. I personally found it easier to just press the cork with the palm of your hand.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • boring packaging

I just do not know. - Vinification

I liked the price and sent it quickly. The problems I have are significant. Although the capper is very easy to use and great for filling corks, the corks go too deep into the bottles. In addition, the supplied corks are very brittle and fall off any corkscrew. So far, every cork has practically broken in half when opened. I have given wine bottles filled with these corks to friends and family and all have had the same results. So I recommend the best corks and 1/4 inch corks cut from a cold…

Save your money for something better

This sampler is cheap and works, but not very well. As many have already noticed, the small red friction bushings on the bottle gripper broke after about 20 bottles, and without them it is AT ALL. They included an extra set of sleeves (+1 star) in the box for me to finish the session. Which basically makes it a disposable device. The other major downside is that the depth of drive isn't adjustable at all, pushing it about 4mm over the neck. It's not scary, but it's a shame you can't customize…

  • Satisfied so far

Do not buy if using standard #9 plugs

This is a cheap and economical two arm sampler. The description says it works with #7 - #9 connectors, but I wouldn't recommend it for #9 at all. The plunger is very loose, so the cork is often pushed off center, resulting in skewed insertion. Also, it can't squeeze the #9 all the way into the bottle, the best I got is about 1/4" still sticking out of the top. Capping a total of 10 bottles before giving up resulted in, that the zips on the rubber/plastic bottles started to work.smash (this…

A few design flaws but functional

Many people in reviews of this abmnd complain about the rubber grips that touch the bottle. The pictures here show nice neoprene toes but what I received had clear/red tubing. I'll ignore these reviews because it's trivial to buy a lifetime supply of whistles for a few bucks to get rid of this disadvantage. My complaint is about the piston and the lack of adjustment. The lamb is about 3/4 the diameter of the nylon part that compresses the cork. This means each cork has a large round notch at…
