Will not fit 2005 Jetta, is 9" shorter, measure your old one before ordering. That looks like a good rack if you only need 19 inches.

I just replaced the hood bracket on our 2002 VW Convertible. It was the perfect fit and now the hood comes and stays up. If anything changes I will update this review.

The easy solution to getting your hood open again! Works great, quick and easy to install. I used a block of wood after the original couldn't hold the hood open and it's a much safer option at a reasonable price.

Installation took less than two minutes. I just used a small regular screwdriver to pry off the old metal spring tabs to remove the old jack support and put in the new one. Now my bonnet doesn't fall on my head when I start the car in sub-zero temperatures! I used a block of wood to hold the hood open if you have a helper even better!
