I loved it for everything

Bought in July 2016. I liked everything! Cooking just got easier. However, I was just using a dough hook to make some cookie dough and it burned out the motor. Do not use the test attachment. This will burn out the motor.

Pros
  • How everything disappears so far

best food processor

My first Braun food processor was bought over 20 years ago and the only reason we bought another is because we lost all the attachments when we moved and it made more sense to replace them with this newer model instead of trying to replace lost parts. I have prepared all of the baby food for my 4 children with ease and it has continued to serve our family well due to its versatility. My original 20 year old motor is still running and I use it to make soap. Hope that helps.

  • Large selection

Quiet operation is good for kitchen and dining room

I have been using Cuisinart kitchen machines for 40 years. I got frustrated trying to find replacement parts for myself and ordered a Braun. Like my other processors, it has continuous and intermittent function, but Braun allows you to control the speed of the blade. I love this feature. You can also remove the blade from the brown and don't have to worry about it leaking out through the center hole. Braun has a different blade mechanism. It's easier to clean and much quieter than my other…

German Ingenuity!: Small Appliances

I rarely write reviews! But this kitchen gadget never ceases to amaze me. It is an incredibly versatile and absolute workhorse. Doesn't take up much space and seems as close to actually owning a wand as I've ever had. I really wanted something strong enough to make nut butters. With the small insert bowl I can also cook a small amount. The machine does a fantastic job and has amazed me with other experiments: excellent cutting of cabbage into coleslaw! Grapefruit juice for everyone? How about…

Perfection in a food processor.

All the good things in one fantastic product. I replaced a fairly old Kitchenaid that had some things I really hated. First, the lid was full of little ridges that were difficult to clean - Brown doesn't have ridges for catching food! Second, my cookware was NOT airtight, so once I mixed the liquids it was all over! - Brown is fully sealed as it is a durable bowl. I love this feature! Variable speed is very useful. Does everything from the most complex slicing and chopping to whipping cream. I…

THIS IS QUIET on food processors

We have a Cuisinart PowerBlend Duet that we use daily to blend baby food. Works well, but terribly noisy. My petrol lawnmower and Honda chainsaw are quieter. We'll be mashing for an indefinite future, so we went in search of a new brand in hopes of saving our hearing. We chose this because it was advertised as quiet. When we received it, the first thing I did was connect it and compare the noise. It was wonderful. It was easily only a third louder, maybe less. It was functionally comparable…

  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

It's about the worst food processor you can buy

This is about the worst food processor you can buy, especially from these folks. Do not buy! 5 months after I bought it and used it regularly as instructed, the grater attachment broke the parmesan grater. The kitchen crew were incredibly unhelpful in resolving my issue as the food processor was still under warranty, they told me to contact Braun directly. The manufacturer asked me to send the whole food processor to a repair shop (actually, Braun no longer makes this food processor, they…

Quiet operation, easy cleaning, a nice addition to my kitchen gadgets.

This is my first food processor, never had one, have always used a Borner mandolin for chopping, slicing etc. I bought this machine in January and waited a few weeks to write a review. It took me a while to get used to, like any new technique. I chopped a little, chopped, kneaded the dough for the cake, used a juicer, chopper and whisk attachment. Here are my thoughts and notes on how the processor works. 1) Juicer - Works pretty decent, better than cheap plastic juicers but not as good as…

Braun vs. Breville for food processors

This appliance replaces the Breville BFP800XL which engine stopped starting after just over three years. After sending the Braun, Breville went back to work. Find out. The unit that remains on the counter, however, is the Braun. Breville has a large capacity. It looks a bit more robust, even if it isn't. Consumer Reports continues to rave about the performance, and I agree with them. Compare cooking peanut butter to a chopper knife. Brown takes 30-50% longer and never completely eliminates the…
